Shortly after the group began to head towards their cabin, another group of older foals walked up to them. The leader of the group, the one who told the story of the corn maze legend, stepped forward. “So, do you think you’re brave enough to beat the corn maze…? Or are you scared lil first timers that you are going to curl up in your cabin and let the pumpkins keep the monsters away…?”
Haunt stomped his hoof, "We are not scared off by some silly story.”
Havoc just nodded and the other three looked a little dubious at this bold statement. With a gleam in his eye, the older foal snickered, “Then I double dog dare you to go into the corn maze.”The young group of foals were not going to back down, because who backs out from a double dog dare?
Tish spoke with a trill, “Fine. We accept!”

She turned, swishing her tail and lead the group away from the cabins and down the dirt path towards the corn field.
Soon they came upon the bridge, and unlike the story, it did not seem creepy or scary at all. Haunt had taken over the lead, tapping his hooves impatiently as he waited for the others on the other side of the bridge. “Come on, I could have made it there and back already!" Tish and Firefly perked up, feeling braver, while Stanly stayed glued to Firefly’s flank, who seemed slightly distracted by fireflies flitting in the distance. Havoc brought up the rear, being stuck as the shepherd of sleepy Somnus.
