“I know a few of you know the story of the monster in the corn maze, but for those of you that are new. Listen carefully as not knowing may get you in a heap of trouble or even go missing.”
There were a few gasps around the campfire and all ears pricked to hear this story. Even Somnus was nudged awake.
“On a night much like this, the opening night of this camp a few of the foals decided to sneak out of their cabin after lights out. They walked past the cabins with the freshly carved pumpkins out front, their lights casting a warm glow, giving it a peaceful aura. Once the foals stepped outside of the glow, they felt a shiver run down their spines.

They looked at each other and the two boldest ones laughed.

Soon they reached the small bridge that arches over the stream that flows out of the pond. On this dark night, the sounds it made seemed rather sinister and they could hear strange sounds coming from the forest nearby. Three of the foals were super spooked by this and quickly said they were going to go back to the cabin. The two bravest tossed their heads and said they were going to keep looking around; they really wanted to see the corn field as they had heard that there was a maze within. The other three foals agreed to wait on this side of the bridge for them.
