“There once was a very small herd that lived very quietly and so there were not many options for mates. Since they lived far away from other herds, it was not easy to meet one. Because of this, the youngsters would travel far away to find their perfect equid. This is the story of one of the young stallions' adventures to find his mate.
He headed to the east as he had heard that there was a herd out that way. After days of traveling he met up with a group that was traveling in the same direction. There was this pretty young mare traveling with them. She had a gorgeous white coat, pale grey quip and was wearing a pale pink bow around her neck. The two soon struck up a conversation. As the days went by, they grew closer.

On the third night the two curled up together to keep talking and yet again the young stallion asked about the bow. The young mare demurs away from the question and the move on to other topics. Time flies and they are soon talking of forever and make the decision to head back to the stallion's herd. On the way back they are walking through a mountain pass. And the young mare slips and starts to fall. The young stallion reaches out to grab her main and also gets the tail of her ribbon. As he pulls back to help pull her up the ribbon comes untied and…."

A few of the foals around the fire lean forward.
